They met in highschool and waited a good 11 years to make it official. But when schoolteachers Kristine and Don finally tied the knot, they did it in splendidly sunny style. Looking for a place that had that comfy SoCal feel but great indoor space, they booked Harborside at the Balboa Pavilion, in Newport Beach, and put together a coral-and-teal-themed day that looked as breezy as the beachy backdrop.
Photographer Mike Arick took the couple and their party to Newport Back Bay for a photo session; Kristine calls it “one of the prettiest backdrops in California!” (Check out the evidence for yourself.) And Harborside provided the ideal spot where they could “eat, drink, and get married!,” says Kristine. “We liked having everything in one place…Makes things easier for guests.” We couldn’t agree more.
